As Türkiye's national women's volleyball team faced Italy in the final of the Trendyol 2026 CEV European Championship, thousands of fans across several Turkish cities gathered around giant outdoor screens to watch the match together in a shared show of national pride.
In Adana, crowds carrying Turkish flags and wearing team jerseys assembled along Bulent Angin Boulevard, where a large screen had been installed, and residents chanted and cheered throughout the game in support of the national squad.
In Karabuk, a similar giant screen drew large numbers of spectators who waved flags and broke into chants as they followed the closely watched contest between Italy and Türkiye.
In Amasya, fans arrived early at Yavuz Selim Square equipped with camping chairs to secure good viewing spots, and once the match began, the crowd erupted in chants of encouragement for the team widely known as the Sultans of the Net.
Several attendees in Canakkale shared their excitement with reporters, including one fan who said watching the match on a giant screen made the experience more enjoyable, while another expressed hope that the team would be crowned European champions and wished them good luck ahead of the final result.
In Corum, the local municipality set up a giant screen at Kades Baris Square, where residents waved Turkish flags in support of the team, and the city's mayor, Halil Ibrahim Asgin, joined the public for part of the broadcast to watch the match alongside fellow citizens.
