Fenerbahce Beko closed out the EuroLeague regular season in fourth place and will face Zalgiris in the play-offs, while Anadolu Efes finished 19th and Panathinaikos AKTOR moved into the play-in round.
As the 38-game regular season came to an end in Europe’s top club basketball competition, the post-season bracket also took shape. The top six teams advanced straight to the play-offs, while the teams placed from seventh to 10th moved on to the play-in stage, a short format that decides the final two quarterfinal spots.
The defending champions Fenerbahce Beko finished the regular season with a 24-14 record and took fourth place on tiebreak criteria. That result handed the Turkish side home-court advantage in the play-offs and set up a series against fifth-placed Zalgiris of Lithuania.
The best-of-five series will begin in Istanbul, with the first two games to be played at Ulker Sports and Event Hall. The first team to reach three wins will move on to the Final Four in Athens.
Anadolu Efes wrapped up the 2025-26 season in 19th place after winning 12 of their 38 games. The Istanbul club, which has won the EuroLeague twice, turned in its weakest campaign since the 2017-18 season, when it had finished at the bottom of the standings in the 16-team format then in use.
Panathinaikos AKTOR, coached by Ergin Ataman and featuring Turkish international Cedi Osman, missed out on a direct play-off place despite ending the regular season with a 22-16 record. The Greek side finished seventh on tiebreaks after beating Anadolu Efes 97-62 in its final game.
That result sent Panathinaikos into the play-in round, where it will take on eighth-placed Monaco in a single-game matchup at Telekom Center. The winner will advance to the play-offs as the seventh seed, while the loser will get one more chance against the winner of the game between ninth-placed Barcelona and 10th-placed Crvena zvezda.
Olympiakos, Valencia Basket, Real Madrid, Fenerbahce Beko, Zalgiris and Hapoel IBI all booked direct places in the play-offs by finishing in the top six. Panathinaikos AKTOR, Monaco, Barcelona and Crvena zvezda will now battle through the play-in phase.
The play-in games will be held from April 21 to 24, followed by the play-offs from April 28 to May 13. The Final Four is scheduled for May 22-24 in Athens, Greece.
