Fenerbahce supporters bid an emotional farewell to head coach Domenico Tedesco following the club’s decision to part ways with the Italian manager after a disappointing run of results.

Tedesco’s departure came in the aftermath of a 3–0 derby defeat to Galatasaray, but the focus quickly shifted to the heartfelt scenes at the club’s Can Bartu Training Facilities in Samandira.

Fans gather in emotional show of support

Shortly after news of his exit became public, a group of Fenerbahce fans gathered outside the training ground to show their appreciation for Tedesco’s efforts during his tenure. Supporters chanted his name and expressed gratitude for his commitment during a challenging season.

Tedesco personally returned to the facility to say farewell to players, staff, and club personnel. He was also greeted by supporters outside, where he stopped to sign autographs and take photographs.

According to witnesses, the 40-year-old coach appeared visibly emotional throughout the farewell. As he left the facility, he was seen struggling to hold back tears.

Short but impactful spell

Tedesco was appointed in September 2025 and spent approximately 7.5 months in charge of Fenerbahce. During his tenure, he led the team to a Turkish Super Cup victory and kept it in the title race for much of the season, while also guiding it to the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League.
