The race to sign Victor Osimhen is intensifying in Türkiye, with both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray making significant moves to lure the Nigerian striker away from Napoli.
According to a report by Hürriyet, Galatasaray has approached the Italian club with an offer to pay Osimhen’s €75 million ($83.34 million) release clause in installments over a three-year period. The Istanbul side views the forward as a key addition to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
However, Fenerbahce have reportedly entered the race with a more assertive proposal. The club has informed Napoli that it is prepared to pay the full release clause of €75 million upfront—an offer that could give them the edge in negotiations.
In addition to engaging with Napoli, Fenerbahce has also initiated direct contact with Osimhen. According to the report, the club has expressed its willingness to exceed the salary package being prepared by Galatasaray, further underlining its intent to secure the highly sought-after forward.
Osimhen, one of the most prolific strikers in European football, has had an outstanding season. Across all competitions, the Nigerian international has recorded 33 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances.
While his domestic performances have been impressive, his impact on the European stage has been equally noteworthy. He scored six goals in seven UEFA Europa League appearances, showcasing his ability to perform at the highest level. Additionally, with three goals and three assists in the Turkish Cup, Osimhen has demonstrated consistency and versatility across all formats.
These performances underscore his status as one of the most dangerous and complete forwards in the modern game.
With two of Türkiye’s biggest clubs vying for his signature, the coming weeks may prove decisive in determining where Osimhen will continue his career.
