Fenerbahce president, Sadettin Saran, is preparing major changes in the team after a disappointing start to the Turkish Super Lig season.

Following a goalless draw against Samsunspor, the management decided to give three players a final chance before the winter transfer window: Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, Polish midfielder Sebastian Szymanski, and English left-back Archie Brown.

The draw against Samsunspor cost Fenerbahce a key opportunity in the title race, especially since rivals Galatasaray also dropped points.

The poor performance led to harsh criticism from fans and commentators, prompting the club to establish a stricter disciplinary and performance plan for the rest of the season.

Final chance before January transfer window

According to Turkish media, the Fenerbahce board decided that players whose performance does not improve by January will be allowed to leave.

The same policy applies to those who wish to transfer elsewhere, as management will not block any departure.

“Players who fail to meet expectations will be allowed to go,” a club source was quoted as saying.

The decision comes after a series of inconsistent results that frustrated both fans and the management. Despite having one of the league’s strongest squads, Fenerbahce has struggled to maintain momentum in the title race.

1. En-Nesyri expected to review new offers from abroad

Striker Youssef En-Nesyri faced heavy criticism after missing scoring opportunities in the Samsunspor match.

The Moroccan forward, who had received offers from Saudi Arabian clubs during the summer, decided to stay following talks with the technical team.

Recent reports now claim he has instructed his agent to evaluate new offers ahead of the winter transfer window. En-Nesyri has scored five goals and made one assist in 14 matches this season.

2. Szymanski open to European transfer after slow start

Polish midfielder Sebastian Szymanski, who stayed with the club despite offers from Lyon and several Premier League teams, is also reconsidering his future.

Initially retained by then-coach Jose Mourinho, Szymanski has since changed his agent to explore new opportunities in Europe.

This season, he has recorded two goals and one assist in 14 games, a performance viewed as below expectations by management.

3. Archie Brown under pressure after fan backlash online

Left-back Archie Brown attracted attention after deleting all photos from his social media accounts following online criticism.

His reaction came after fans targeted him for a disappointing display against Samsunspor. Club officials reportedly took note of the incident and emphasized that team discipline and focus will remain priorities in the weeks ahead.

The next fixtures will be decisive for the three players’ future at Fenerbahce. The board expects immediate improvement on the pitch as the club attempts to regain form in the title race.

With the January transfer window approaching, management is prepared to take firm action if performances fail to meet expectations.
