Fenerbahce has set its expected transfer fee for Kerem Akturkoglu after receiving an official offer from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli, with the two clubs still apart on the valuation of the Türkiye international.
According to beIN SPORTS, Al-Ahli put forward an offer worth €30 million plus €5 million in add-ons for the 27-year-old winger. Fenerbahce, however, would only consider letting him go for an “astronomical” fee, with the reported asking price standing between €40 million and €45 million.
The figures leave a gap of around €10 million between Al-Ahli’s proposal and Fenerbahce’s demand, making an agreement difficult at this stage.
Fenerbahce is preparing for the new season with the clear aim of winning the league title, and the club is not expected to give up on key domestic players easily.
One reason behind Fenerbahce’s position is the Turkish Football Federation’s 10+4 rule, a squad regulation that increases the importance of high-quality Turkish players for Super Lig clubs.
The report also underlined that Akturkoglu wants to carry on his career at Fenerbahce, which further reduces the likelihood of a quick exit unless Al-Ahli comes back with a significantly higher offer.
Akturkoglu still has three years left on his contract with Fenerbahce.
Last season, he made 44 appearances in all competitions and contributed 15 goals and 10 assists, making him one of the club’s most productive attacking players.
