Fenerbahce has reportedly entered the race for Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson, following the rejection of Galatasaray’s €10 million ($11,68 million) offer.
The yellow-navy side is said to be working hard to finalize the transfer.
After Jose Mourinho’s surprising departure at the start of the season, Fenerbahce has focused on strengthening key areas under their new coach.
With Irfan Can Egribayat and Livakovic already in goal, the team is looking for a new top-class goalkeeper.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, “Fenerbahce has stepped in for Ederson.
The club entered the race after Galatasaray’s €10 million bid was rejected and is trying to complete the transfer.”
Ederson had previously been on Galatasaray’s transfer list as well.
Meanwhile, if Ederson leaves Manchester City, the Premier League club is expected to strengthen its goalkeeping position with Gianluigi Donnarumma.
