Fenerbahce has been drawn against Dutch side Feyenoord in the third qualifying round of the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League, following the official draw held in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday.
Fenerbahce, entering the tournament at this stage, will need to overcome Feyenoord to progress further in Europe’s premier club competition.
The first leg will take place on either Aug. 5 or 6, while the return leg is scheduled for Aug. 12.
The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the playoff round, the final hurdle before reaching the UEFA Champions League group stage. This stage features a high level of competition, with successful teams earning entry into the lucrative and globally followed main tournament.
The winner of the Fenerbahce–Feyenoord tie will advance to the playoff round, where they will face either the winner of the OGC Nice (France) vs Benfica (Portugal) tie, or the winner of the Red Bull Salzburg (Austria) vs the winner of Brann (Norway) vs Club Brugge (Belgium).
Fenerbahce secured second place with 84 points in the Turkish Super Lig last season, finishing behind archrival Galatasaray, which claimed its 25th championship title with 95 points. The Yellow Canaries extended their title drought to 11 years.
Feyenoord also missed out on the Eredivisie title in the 2024-2025 season, finishing third with 68 points.
The UEFA Champions League is Europe’s top-tier club football competition, organized annually by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The tournament consists of multiple qualifying rounds before culminating in the group stage, where 32 clubs compete in eight groups of four.
