Canada takes early control, Türkiye responds

The opening set remained close as both sides traded points, but Canada pulled away after breaking a 5-5 tie. Türkiye stayed within reach through Gizem Orge's defensive work and attacks from Sinead Jack-Kisal and Hande Baladin, although Canada held on to close out the set.

Türkiye quickly turned the match around in the second set, with Melissa Vargas helping the team move ahead early. The Turkish side took advantage of Canada's defensive mistakes and found success through the middle before leveling the match.

Türkiye overturns third-set deficit

Canada opened up a five-point lead in the third set by capitalizing on Türkiye's backcourt errors and producing points at the net.

Türkiye gradually closed the gap through Ilkin Aydin, Zehra Gunes and Jack-Kisal, drawing level at 17-17 before moving ahead during the decisive stages. Blocks from Baladin and Gunes helped Türkiye see out the set and take a 2-1 lead.
