Winner to advance to final playoff round

The winner of the two-legged tie will move on to the playoff round, which is the final stage before entry into the UEFA Champions League group phase. This stage represents a high level of competition, with successful clubs gaining access to one of the most prestigious and financially rewarding tournaments in global football.

Fenerbahce, if victorious, will face either the winner of the OGC Nice (France) vs Benfica (Portugal) matchup or the winner of the Red Bull Salzburg (Austria) tie against the victor of Brann (Norway) vs Club Brugge (Belgium).

Overview of the tournament structure

The UEFA Champions League is Europe’s top-tier annual club competition, organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). It consists of several qualifying rounds, culminating in a 32-team group stage divided into eight groups of four.

Clubs that reach the group stage benefit from wide international exposure and substantial financial incentives.
