Besiktas aims to offload striker Ciro Immobile due to his high salary costs, with Fiorentina entering the race to sign the 35-year-old Italian forward.
Despite Besiktas’s attempt to halve Immobile’s reported 6 million euro annual wage, no response was received as the player considered the offer after consulting his family.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina has made a two-year contract proposal to Immobile, overtaking Milan in the pursuit.
The striker is reportedly open to returning to Italy. If the transfer proceeds, Fiorentina plans to drop its interest in free agent Edin Dzeko, formerly linked with Fenerbahce.
Besiktas, who signed Immobile on a two-year deal and has paid a 2 million euro signing bonus, is willing to let the player leave without demanding a transfer fee.
Ciro Immobile, born Feb. 20, 1990, in Torre Annunziata, Italy, is a professional striker currently playing for Besiktas since 2024.
Standing 1.85 meters tall, Immobile has played for several top clubs, including Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Torino, and Lazio.
He is a key figure for the Italian national team, earning 57 caps and scoring 17 goals between 2014 and 2023.
