Real Madrid' and Besiktas legend Guti Hernandez has sparked reactions after advising against a potential transfer of German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen to Turkish club Galatasaray.
Guti, who played for Besiktas during the 2010-2011 season and began his coaching career in 2013, was asked during a TV program in Spain about rumors linking 33-year-old Ter Stegen to Galatasaray. When questioned whether he would recommend Ter Stegen to join the Istanbul-based club, Guti responded, “No, because that’s not my team.”
The remark quickly attracted attention on social media platforms, fueling discussions among fans and analysts alike.
Ter Stegen, currently valued at around 12 million euros, remains under contract with Spanish giants Barcelona until 2028.
