Galatasaray has decided not to sell Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the upcoming transfer window, as the club shapes its plans around the forward despite strong interest from top European sides.
With the transfer window approaching, Osimhen has drawn attention from several major clubs, including Arsenal. However, Galatasaray’s management has moved to shut down speculation by opting to keep the player, signaling a clear commitment to continuity.
Reports indicate that head coach Okan Buruk is building next season’s squad with Osimhen at its core, reinforcing the club’s intention to maintain stability rather than cash in on one of its most valuable assets.
Galatasaray has structured a multi-layered financial plan to cover the striker’s salary, combining direct payments with commercial backing.
Of Osimhen’s annual €21 million earnings, €15 million is paid directly by the club, while the remaining €6 million is expected to be covered through sponsorship agreements tied to image rights.
These sponsorship deals are set to be finalized through three separate advertising contracts for the 2026–2027 season, ensuring that the commercial portion of the player’s income is secured without placing additional strain on the club’s core budget.
The club plans to meet its direct salary obligations through consistent income streams such as VIP box (loca) sales and merchandise revenue from GS Store, allowing payments to continue without delays.
Galatasaray had previously completed the installment payments for Osimhen’s €75 million transfer fee in March, removing outstanding liabilities and strengthening its financial position as it prepares to retain the striker.
