Turkish Super Lig champion Galatasaray has reportedly placed a €140 million ($162.37 million) price tag on 26-year-old striker Victor Osimhen, opening the door to a potential record-breaking transfer as European giants Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) renew their interest in the Nigerian forward.

The Istanbul club, which signed Osimhen from Italy’s Napoli for around €75 million ($87.1 million) earlier this year, is said to be willing to negotiate only if offers meet or exceed that valuation, Türkiye daily reported.

While interest from Barcelona and PSG remains high, Osimhen’s valuation poses a challenge. The Catalan side continues to face financial constraints under La Liga’s spending limits, while PSG must balance its transfer budget amid UEFA’s Financial Fair Play framework.

Both clubs are reportedly assessing alternative structures—such as installment payments or player exchanges—to reduce the immediate financial burden of a deal that could become one of the most expensive transfers in football history.

Another report by Spanish sports daily El Mundo Deportivo had also confirmed earlier this week that Barcelona has again added Osimhen to its shortlist as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose future at the Catalan club remains uncertain.

Galatasaray firm on Osimhen’s future

Both Barcelona and PSG have been closely monitoring Osimhen’s performances this season for a potential move, the report suggested. The 26-year-old has scored six goals in nine matches—three in the domestic league and three in the UEFA Champions League—while ranking as the tournament’s second-most accurate shooter.

The Turkish powerhouse, who hold Osimhen under contract until 2029, is in a strong financial position and not under pressure to sell, and club sources cited by the report said the board views Osimhen as a long-term asset and a cornerstone of the team’s European ambitions.

The player currently holds a €75 million ($86.9 million) market value, according to football transfer database Transfermarkt.
