Galatasaray will visit Dutch side Ajax on Wednesday in the fourth round of the UEFA Champions League league phase, seeking their third consecutive victory in the competition.

The match at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam will begin at 11:00 p.m. Türkiye time and will be officiated by French referee Benoit Bastien.

The Turkish champions opened their campaign with a heavy 5–1 defeat away to Eintracht Frankfurt but responded strongly, defeating Liverpool 1–0 in Istanbul before recording a 3–1 home win against Norway’s Bodo/Glimt, reaching six points from three matches.

Ajax, meanwhile, remains without a point after suffering losses to Inter (2–0), Olympique Marseille (4–0), and Chelsea (5–1) in their opening fixtures.

Injury updates

Galatasaray will be without Ilkay Gundogan, who is still recovering from an injury sustained during training before the third-round match against Bodo/Glimt.

Wilfried Singo has recovered from injury and is available for selection. The match-day fitness of Yunus Akgun, who missed training due to discomfort following the Trabzonspor fixture, will be determined on Tuesday.

Ajax will be missing Kenneth Taylor due to suspension following his red card against Chelsea. The availability of Steven Berghuis, Kasper Dolberg, and Branco van den Boomen will be assessed before kickoff.

Osimhen’s scoring form continues

Victor Osimhen enters the match in outstanding form, having scored in each of Galatasaray’s last seven European fixtures. With nine goals in that span, the Nigerian forward holds the club record for consecutive European matches with a goal.

Historical milestone in sight

A win in Amsterdam would mark Galatasaray’s first run of three successive Champions League victories since the 2012-2013 campaign under Fatih Terim, when the club defeated CFR Cluj, Manchester United, and Braga in consecutive group stage matches.
