Galatasaray has stepped up its pursuit of AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, reportedly offering the Portuguese international a contract worth up to €11 million ($12.056 million) per year, including bonuses.
The Istanbul club has placed Leao on its transfer list as it looks to bring in a world-class attacking player ahead of the new season. Talks are reportedly moving forward with both Milan and the player's representatives.
According to Turkish media reports originating from Italian transfer outlet Calciomercato, Milan is seeking approximately €50 million to let Leao leave.
Galatasaray officials are continuing negotiations with the Italian club as they attempt to push down the proposed transfer fee and work out the financial terms of a possible deal.
Alongside its talks with Milan, Galatasaray has also approached Leao's camp to win over the 27-year-old winger.
The Turkish champions have reportedly put forward an annual salary package that could reach €11 million when performance-related bonuses are included.
Leao made 31 appearances for Milan across all competitions last season, finishing the campaign with 10 goals and three assists.
