Galatasaray is targeting Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman, currently sidelined at Atalanta and valued at €60 million ($69.81), as the next addition to their squad. The club has already strengthened its roster by signing goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir from Trabzonspor and reaching a principle agreement with Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

Despite being sidelined at Atalanta, Lookman has not received offers from European giants Bayern Munich or Inter Milan. With the transfer window in Europe's top five leagues closing on September 1, attention has now turned to Galatasaray for the talented winger.

Galatasaray makes an offer

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Galatasaray has made an offer to Atalanta for Lookman.

Following the departures of Elias Jelert, Carlos Cuesta, and Nicolo Zaniolo, Galatasaray has opened a foreign player slot and is reportedly aiming to bring the 27-year-old to the squad on a loan deal.

Lookman joined Atalanta from Leipzig in August 2022 for a transfer fee of €10 million. Last season, he played 40 official matches across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 7 assists, showcasing his attacking impact and consistency.
