Galatasaray triumphs 4-3 over Trabzonspor in dramatic Turkish Super Lig showdown
In a thrilling week 16 match of the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray clinched a 4-3 victory over Trabzonspor with a dramatic last-minute goal at RAMS Park.
Dries Mertens opened the scoring for Galatasaray in the 8th minute, followed by Yunus Akgun’s strike in the 29th.
Michy Batshuayi added a penalty goal in the 63rd, and an own goal by Ali Sahin Yılmaz in the 90+8th minute secured the win.
Trabzonspor misses the win
For Trabzonspor, Ozan Tufan scored twice, in the 17th and 55th minutes, and Simon Banza netted a goal in the 51st minute.
With this victory, Okan Buruk’s side moved up to 41 points, while Senol Gunes’ Trabzonspor remains at 16 points.
Galatasaray will face Bellona Kayserispor in the next round, while Trabzonspor will host Sipay Bodrum FK.
