Zidane could move Mbappe to left wing for France clash with Türkiye

France head coach Zinedine Zidane could deploy Kylian Mbappe on the left wing rather than as a center-forward when his side takes on Türkiye in Kocaeli on Sept. 25.

Zidane, who took charge of the French national team following the 2026 World Cup, is set to oversee his first match with France against Türkiye and could make a notable change to Mbappe's role.

Mbappe switch could reshape France attack

If the Real Madrid star starts on the left flank, either Ousmane Dembele or Esteban Lepaul is expected to lead the line as France's center-forward.

The possible adjustment would move Mbappe away from the central attacking position and give Zidane another option through the middle for his first game in charge.
