Galatasaray’s Batshuayi falls victim to $212K scam
Galatasaray’s Belgian footballer Michy Batshuayi has reported being scammed out of approximately $212,000 (around ₺7.3 million).
Batshuayi paid the sum to a consultant, H.B., for a six-month rent payment and vehicle arrangement in Besiktas. However, after the vehicle was not provided and the rent remained unpaid, the Belgian footballer filed a complaint against H.B.
H.B. was detained by the police and brought to the police station. The suspect was later brought before the prosecutor’s office and released under judicial control by the on-duty criminal court.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
