Hull City owner Acun Ilicali investigated over illegal betting claims

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s office launched investigation into Hull City owner and Fenerbahce‘s deputy chairman Acun Ilıcalı, and his media companies TV8, and Exxen officials over illegal gambling advertising and promotion.

The allegations relate to advertisements for illegal betting services that were reportedly broadcast during UEFA Nations League matches.

Authorities are reviewing the case to determine potential violations of laws regarding gambling promotion. Both TV8 and Exxen are key components of Acun Ilicali’s media empire, and any findings from the investigation could have significant implications for the platforms.
