Juventus young midfielder Kenan Yildiz has reportedly decided to stay with the Italian giants despite growing interest from European powerhouses Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Barcelona and Bayern Munich have been closely monitoring the 2005-born Türkiye international, eager to secure his services. However, Yildiz has expressed his desire to remain at Juventus, where he recently extended his contract until 2029.
Since the arrival of coach Igor Tudor, Yildiz has cemented his place in the heart of Juventus’ midfield and has taken on the iconic number 10 jersey. Juventus is now preparing a new contract offer to reflect his increased role, which is expected to boost his annual salary to €2 million ($2.34 million), with total earnings including bonuses reaching around €3 million.
Yildiz showcased his talent on the global stage at the FIFA Club World Cup, contributing three goals and one assist in four matches. Juventus bowed out in the round of 16 after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid, where fellow Türkiye star Arda Guler featured.
