Juventus’ young talent Kenan Yildiz, the Turkish wunderkind, has been awarded Serie A Player of the Month for August. At just 20 years old, the midfielder claimed the honor for the first time in his professional career, earning praise from Juventus supporters and Turkish football fans worldwide.
Kenan drew attention in Juventus’ opening match of the season, a 2-0 victory over Parma, by registering two assists. Beyond his attacking contributions, his off-the-ball movement, positioning, and physical efficiency impressed analysts. EA SPORTS FC awarded him the honor based on fan votes and statistical performance metrics.
Serie A CEO Luigi De Siervo highlighted Kenan’s rise: “Wearing Juventus’ iconic number 10 jersey at 20 is a huge responsibility. Kenan represents one of the symbolic names of the new generation.” Kenan will officially receive the award prior to Juventus’ home match against Inter on September 13 at Allianz Stadium. His form at Juventus follows a strong response to criticism he faced after the Türkiye–Spain national team match.
Kenan Yildiz was born on May 4, 2005, in Regensburg, Germany, to a Turkish father and German mother. He began his football journey in the youth systems of Sallern Regensburg and Jahn Regensburg before joining Bayern Munich Academy in 2012. After a decade of development at Bayern, where he even captained the U19 squad, Kenan moved to Juventus in 2022.
He initially played for Juventus Next Gen, making his Serie A debut in 2023, and by 2024 earned the right to wear the legendary number 10 jersey for the club’s first team. Versatile in attack and midfield, Kenan is known for his speed, ball control, vision, and football intelligence. He also represents the Türkiye A National Team and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most promising young talents—a true Turkish wunderkind.
Kenan’s performance demonstrates his ability to impact games at the highest level despite his age. With Juventus, he combines technical skill, tactical awareness, and maturity beyond his years.
