Saudi Arabian club NEOM SC has submitted a record-breaking offer for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz, aiming to complete one of the biggest transfers in Türkiye football history.
According to reports by Turkish media, NEOM has proposed €40 million ($46.65 million) plus €10 million in bonuses to Galatasaray, alongside a €10 million annual salary for the 24-year-old. Yilmaz, currently earning €2.5 million per season, would see his wages quadruple if the move goes through.
Galatasaray is understood to be considering the offer and will meet with Yilmaz before making a final decision.
The player’s explosive start to the new season, including a standout performance against Gaziantep FK, has drawn attention from abroad.
Should the transfer be completed, Galatasaray would receive €40 million net from the deal. Twenty percent of that fee—€8 million—would go to Ankara Keciorengucu, Yilmaz’s former club, as part of a sell-on clause.
If accepted, the transfer would mark one of the most expensive in the history of Türkiye football
