Galatasaray showed no signs of slowing down in the Trendyol Super Lig, picking up another league win to extend their unbeaten run and keep control of the title race. The night also belonged to Victor Osimhen, whose latest goal saw him reach a historic landmark for the club

Osimhen reaches historic milestone

Victor Osimhen sealed the win in the 73rd minute, becoming Galatasaray’s fourth-highest foreign goalscorer of all time. The Nigerian forward reached 52 goals for the club, moving past former striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

The visitors took the lead in the 19th minute through Baris Alper Yilmaz, who finished off a well-worked attacking move. Despite several attempts from the home side, Caykur Rizespor were unable to find a goal before halftime.

Galatasaray increased their dominance in the second half. Yunus Akgun doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute with a header, before Osimhen added the third to put the match beyond doubt.
