L'Etape Marmaris by Tour de France wrapped up in Mugla, bringing more than 700 cyclists from Türkiye and 16 other countries to one of the country's best-known coastal towns for a two-day cycling event.
The race, part of the official amateur series of the Tour de France, turned Marmaris into a cycling festival with a public ride, an event area at 19 Mayis Youth Square and thousands of visitors following the program.
The race was organized with the support of Turkish ministries, local authorities, tourism bodies and the Turkish Cycling Federation.
Cyclists competed on two main routes, with the longer course spanning 96.8 kilometers (60.2 miles) and the shorter covering 65.8 kilometers.
Anton Hrabovskyi won the men's long-course race with a time of two hours, 59 minutes and 21 seconds, while Seniz Pamuk finished first in the women's category in three hours, 47 minutes and 31 seconds.
On the short course, Ismet Doganay Yuksek won the men's race in two hours, five minutes and 28 seconds. Aylin Yuce took first place in the women's race with a time of two hours, 19 minutes and 31 seconds.
The general classification champions earned the right to take part in L'Etape du Tour 2026, which will be held on July 19 along the route of the 20th stage of the Tour de France.
After the race, the top cyclists received their awards at a ceremony, where the symbolic Tour de France jerseys were also handed out to the winners.
