The Philadelphia 76ers, featuring Türkiye international center Adem Bona, were narrowly beaten 116-115 by the Toronto Raptors in an overtime game in the National Basketball Association (NBA), the top professional basketball league in North America. The game, played in Toronto, went down to the last second and highlighted individual performances on both sides.

Over time, heartbreak for Philadelphia

Philadelphia pushed the contest into overtime but was unable to close it out on the road. Adem Bona, a Turkish national team player, was part of the rotation and finished the game with nine points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots, delivering a balanced performance on both ends of the floor.

His contribution came as the 76ers relied heavily on guard Tyrese Maxey, who stepped up with 38 points and stood out as the highest scorer of the night.

Despite these efforts, the 76ers could not prevent a late turnaround. Toronto forward Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 31 points, along with seven rebounds and eight assists, and stayed composed under pressure.

Barnes sealed the win by knocking down a free throw with 0.8 seconds remaining in overtime, a moment that ultimately decided the score.

Thunder extend winning run behind Gilgeous-Alexander

In another NBA matchup, the Oklahoma City Thunder continued their positive run by defeating the Miami Heat 124-112 at home, securing their third consecutive victory.

Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again played a central role, scoring 29 points and extending his streak of games with at least 20 points to 110 in a row, a mark that underlines his consistency this season.

Miami, meanwhile, suffered its third straight loss. Andrew Wiggins was the leading scorer for the Heat with 23 points, but his performance was not enough to halt Oklahoma City’s momentum as the Thunder managed to pull away in the later stages.
