Trabzonspor head coach Thomas Reis is reportedly preparing to hand Mohamed Salah a special attacking role against Galatasaray, asking the Egyptian star to conserve his energy for forward moves and make the most of quick transitions.
Trabzonspor will host Galatasaray on Saturday evening in the sixth week of the Trendyol Super Lig, Türkiye's top-flight football competition, with Reis looking to make Salah a central part of his game plan.
According to a report by Sabah, the newly appointed German coach held a private meeting with Salah ahead of the match and asked him to focus his energy almost entirely on attacking situations.
Reis reportedly wants Trabzonspor to get the ball to Salah as quickly as possible after regaining possession, allowing the forward to take advantage of transition moments against Galatasaray.
The coach is also expected to give Salah a free role on the pitch, offering him greater freedom to move across attacking areas rather than tying him down to a fixed position.
Salah has made a strong start for Trabzonspor, scoring four goals and providing one assist in five appearances.
