Turkish motorcyclist Toprak Razgatlioglu secured his third world championship title at the final race of the 2025 World Superbike Championship season in Jerez, Spain, becoming the first Turkish athlete to achieve this milestone.
The 28-year-old clinched the 2025 championship at the Jerez circuit, the same track where he won the 2024 title the previous year. Razgatlioglu captured back-to-back championships and reached the podium's highest tier for the third time in his career.
Known internationally by the nickname "El Turco," Razgatlioglu won world titles in 2021, 2024, and 2025. His three championships represent a historic achievement in Turkish motorsports.
Razgatlioglu became the first Turkish athlete to win three world championships in the World Superbike Championship.
His achievement surpassed the previous record held by fellow Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoğlu, who won five world championships in the Superbike Supersport category.
Razgatlioglu also ended British racer Jonathan Rea's six-year championship-winning streak when he captured his first Superbike title in 2021 with Pata Yamaha.
With his second championship in 2024, Razgatlioglu brought BMW its first Superbike championship in the manufacturer's history while riding for ROKIT BMW Motorrad.
In 2025, he secured BMW's second consecutive championship and earned the team a second riders' championship.
Razgatlioglu has competed in 258 World Superbike Championship races throughout his career, finishing in the top three 173 times. The Turkish champion has recorded 78 victories, 61 second-place finishes, and 34 third-place finishes.
In the 2025 season alone, Razgatlioglu achieved 21 victories, nine second-place finishes, and set the fastest lap 20 times.
During the 2024 season, Razgatlioglu set a record with 13 consecutive victories in a single season. In his career, he has also finished as world runner-up twice, in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
Razgatlioglu completed the 2025 World Superbike Championship with 616 championship points. He is entering his eighth year in World Superbike competition.
Razgatlioglu has been riding motorcycles since age of seven under the coordination of Kenan Sofuoğlu, Türkiye Motorcycle Federation National Teams Captain.
His career trajectory reflects the mentorship of Sofuoglu, who previously won five Supersport world titles.
Razgatlioglu's performances have made him the pilot with the most races for Yamaha, earning the manufacturer multiple championship accolades.
Razgatlioglu has signed with Prima Pramac Racing to compete in the MotoGP championship in the 2026 season, riding a Yamaha YZR-M1 motorcycle.
