Toprak Razgatlioglu set for fifth MotoGP round at Le Mans

Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu is preparing to compete in the fifth round of the MotoGP World Championship, which will take place at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans this weekend.

The event will be held at the 4.1-kilometre Bugatti Circuit, where riders will complete 27 laps in Sunday’s main race.

The race weekend will begin with qualifying on Saturday, May 9, at 11:50 (local time), followed by the sprint race at 16:00. The main race will be held on Sunday, May 10, at 15:00.

First MotoGP season for Razgatlioglu

Competing for Prima Pramac Yamaha in his debut MotoGP season, Toprak Razgatlioglu, a three-time World Superbike champion, continues his adaptation to the premier class of motorcycle racing.

'El Turco' has faced a challenging start to the season, finishing 17th in both the Thailand and Brazil rounds. He secured his first MotoGP points with a 15th-place finish at the United States Grand Prix.

Razgatlioglu holds the distinction of being the first Turkish rider in MotoGP history.

After the opening rounds of the season, the MotoGP World Championship standings are as follows:

Marco Bezzecchi – 101 points

Jorge Martin – 90 points

Fabio Di Giannantonio – 71 points

Pedro Acosta – 66 points

Marc Marquez – 57 points
