Italian rider Christian Bagatin secured first place at the finish of the sixth stage of the 61st Presidential Cycling Tour of Türkiye, completing the demanding 127.9-kilometer Antalya-Feslikan route at the top of the standings.
The Antalya-Feslikan stage stood out as a “queen stage,” a cycling term used to describe the most difficult segment of a race, typically defined by steep climbs and a decisive impact on results. The route concluded with a summit finish at Feslikan, a climb introduced for the first time in the event and known for its high level of difficulty.
This uphill finale shifted the focus away from sprinters and toward riders capable of maintaining pace on sustained gradients, shaping the outcome of the stage.
Bagatin of MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort led the finish classification with 15 points, holding off Australia’s Sebastian Berwick from Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, who followed with 14 points. France’s Jordan Jegat of TotalEnergies placed third, collecting 13 points.
Antalya continues to play a key role in the Tour of Türkiye, frequently hosting major stages that influence the direction of the race.
While often associated with sprint finishes, the region has also delivered decisive mountain stages, with Feslikan now adding a new dimension to the event.
