A London-born Turkish Cypriot athlete has officially secured a place in the record books after completing a demanding endurance challenge that tested both physical strength and consistency over two months.
Mehmet Musa was formally recognized by Record Holders Republic after carrying more than 300 kilograms over a distance of 8 meters every day for 60 consecutive days without taking a single day off. The achievement, which had previously been viewed as an anticipated milestone, has now been confirmed as an official world record.
The scale of the challenge lay not only in the weight involved but also in the discipline required to repeat the same high-intensity task every day for two months.
Maintaining performance without interruption placed sustained pressure on the body, making consistency a defining part of the achievement.
Following the official confirmation, Mehmet has reportedly begun looking into new ways to push his limits even further. As he tests the boundaries of his strength and endurance, he is now preparing to move into strongman competitions.
His father, a former boxer who has played an important role throughout his journey, continues to support his next steps as he shifts from record-breaking accomplishments to competitive strength sport.
Mehmet’s achievement has also been described as a significant moment for the Turkish Cypriot community in London, reflecting determination, discipline and perseverance.
