A historic “Turkish final” is on the horizon in the BKT EuroCup, as Turk Telekom will face Cosea JL Bourg in a decisive third semifinal match. The winner will advance to the final to face Besiktas GAIN, marking the first-ever EuroCup final contested entirely by Turkish teams. The match will tip off at Ekinox Arena in Bourg‑en‑Bresse.
Turk Telekom opened the series with a commanding 99‑71 away victory, but JL Bourg bounced back in the second leg, winning 76‑73 at home to level the series 1‑1. The outcome of tomorrow’s clash will determine which team progresses to the final.
Under tournament regulations, the EuroCup champion earns direct entry into Europe’s top-tier club competition. Turkish clubs have previously won the EuroCup twice: Galatasaray in 2016 and Darussafaka in 2018.
Turk Telekom General Manager Onder Kulcebas stressed the importance of executing the team’s game plan. He highlighted the need to limit opponent second-chance points, reduce turnovers, and improve ball movement, especially in a road game. “We aim to attack the paint more, share the ball effectively, and convert high-quality scoring opportunities,” Kulcebas said.
