During a recent interview, Rojin Tufan, the wife of Türkiye national footballer Ozan Tufan and mother to their son Aren, recounted an unforgettable and tense encounter with world-renowned model Bella Hadid in Cannes. The incident, which had never been shared publicly until now, involved Ozan trying to approach Hadid for a photo – only to be physically stopped by her bodyguards.
According to Türkiye Daily, Rojin described the moment as they were returning from dinner in Cannes and suddenly found themselves amid a crowd of paparazzi and fans surrounding Bella Hadid.
“As we were walking back from dinner, we saw Bella Hadid in front of us. There was a massive crowd, photographers everywhere. I tried to hold Ozan’s hand, but suddenly he was gone,” said Rojin. “Turns out he had moved right behind Bella Hadid. Her two massive bodyguards grabbed him by the shoulders. Ozan just said, ‘Don’t touch me.’”
The confrontation didn’t end there. Rojin, left stranded in the chaos without the hotel room card, couldn’t enter their hotel and was furious. Meanwhile, Ozan was overjoyed by the brief encounter.
“I was so angry. He left me alone in the crowd, and I couldn’t even enter the hotel because the room card was with him. Bella Hadid turned around, stared at him, and sighed. I was yelling, asking why he abandoned me. He said he just wanted to ask for a photo – for me and Aren. But Aren was asleep in the room. We didn’t even take him to dinner!” Rojin said. “Ozan didn’t care. He was just happy. He kept saying, ‘She sighed at me!’”
The anecdote quickly gained attention across Turkish media, as fans reacted with amusement to the surreal run-in between a football star and a global supermodel.
