Hull City drew 2-2 with Everton at the MKM Stadium on Monday, a second-half shootout that moved the Tigers to nine points but extended their winless run in the Premier League to four matches.
Neither side could find a way through in a goalless first half, but the game burst into life after the break, with all four goals coming inside half an hour.
Joe Gelhardt put Hull ahead three minutes after the restart, only for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to level in the 55th minute. Thierno Barry then gave the visitors the lead in the 67th, before Mohamed Elbachir Belloumi struck in the 74th minute to rescue a point for the hosts.
It is Hull’s third draw of the season, leaving the team on nine points from six games, while Everton climb to 10.
The Tigers, owned by Turkish businessman Acun Ilicali, made a flying start to life in the top flight, beating Manchester United and Coventry City in their opening two fixtures. Since then, the wins have dried up.
Hull followed those victories with draws against Aston Villa and Chelsea, then suffered their its defeat of the campaign, a 2-1 loss at Newcastle United before the international break. Sunday’s draw makes it four games without a win.
The Tigers will look to get back to winning ways next week, when they host Fulham at the MKM Stadium.
