Turkish rider Toprak Razgatlioglu finishes 20th in MotoGP Thailand debut

Turkish motorcycle racing star Toprak Razgatlioglu made his highly anticipated debut in the MotoGP World Championship sprint race today at the Chang International Circuit. Competing with Prima Pramac Yamaha, Razgatlioglu finished 20th in the 13-lap sprint, marking a significant milestone as the first Turkish rider in MotoGP.

Despite running in 15th position during the early stages, Razgatlioglu suffered a crash with two laps remaining, ultimately finishing 25.860 seconds behind race winner Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. The Turkish rider displayed courage and determination in his first experience against the world’s top MotoGP competitors.

Razgatlioglu, a three-time World Superbike champion, is expected to compete in tomorrow’s main 26-lap race, where fans and experts alike will watch for his potential to climb the leaderboard.

Sprint race results

While the spotlight was on Razgatlioglu’s debut, the sprint race saw Pedro Acosta (Spain, Red Bull KTM) claim victory in 19:39.155, with Marc Marquez (Spain, Ducati Lenovo) finishing just 0.108 seconds behind in second place. Raul Fernandez (Spain, Trackhouse MotoGP) completed the podium in third, 0.540 seconds off the leader.

The main MotoGP race will take place tomorrow at 11:00 AM, covering 26 laps at the Chang International Circuit.
