Turkish freestyle wrestler Nesrin Bas claimed the gold medal in the women's 68-kilogram category at the 2026 European Wrestling Championships in Tirana, Albania, after her opponent, Belarusian Alina Shauchuk, withdrew from the final due to injury.

On her way to the final, Bas defeated Sweden's Tindra Linnea Sjoeberg in the quarterfinals and Russia's Alina Shevchenko in the semifinals, both by technical superiority.
