Türkiye will face Belgium for the first time in 15 years when the two national teams meet in Brussels in the UEFA Nations League, with the closely balanced fixture marking the 12th encounter between the sides.
The match will also be Türkiye's 657th international, while head coach Vincenzo Montella will take charge of the national team for the 39th time.
The match will kick off at 8:45 p.m. local time (6:45 p.m. GMT) at Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liege on Friday.
Türkiye and Belgium have met 11 times so far, including seven competitive fixtures and four friendlies, with neither side managing to take control of the overall record.
Both teams have picked up three wins, while five matches have ended in draws. Türkiye has scored 17 goals across those meetings, compared with Belgium's 18.
Their most recent encounter came in Brussels on June 3, 2011, during qualification for the 2012 European Championship. Belgium went ahead through Ogunjimi in the fourth minute before Burak Yilmaz equalized for Türkiye in the 22nd, with the match finishing 1-1.
Türkiye has played seven of their previous meetings with Belgium away from home, winning twice and losing twice while drawing the other three. The two teams have scored 11 goals each across those matches.
The Belgium fixture will become the 657th match in Türkiye's 103-year national team history.
Türkiye has played 656 matches to date, recording 260 victories, 151 draws and 245 defeats. The national team has scored 907 goals while conceding 937.
The record includes one victory awarded by default against Greece after FIFA ruled that Greece had fielded an ineligible player in a 2015 friendly that originally ended 0-0.
Vincenzo Montella will oversee Türkiye for the 39th time since taking charge of the national team.
Under the Italian coach, Türkiye has played 38 matches, winning 21, drawing five and losing 12. The team has scored 65 goals and conceded 51 during that run.
Türkiye head into the Belgium match after opening its current UEFA Nations League campaign with defeats against France and Italy.
