Türkiye's national football team arrived in the United States on Tuesday, moving into the final phase of preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team was welcomed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida by Türkiye's Ambassador to the U.S. Sedat Onal and Consul General Resul Sahinol, as the squad begins its U.S. program before turning to the tournament.
Türkiye will play an international friendly against Venezuela on June 6 at the Inter Miami CF Stadium.
The match will give Türkiye one final chance to build up rhythm before entering Group D at the World Cup, where the team will face Australia on June 13, Paraguay on June 19 and host nation the United States on June 25.
Unlike its Group D opponents, Türkiye has chosen Mesa, Arizona as its camp base. The facility includes 24 multipurpose training grounds, giving the squad a large preparation setup during the tournament period.
The team is expected to bring together experienced players and emerging talents, with captain Hakan Calhanoglu, Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler and Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz among the key names.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada, will begin on June 11 and run through July 19.
This edition will feature 48 national teams, making it the largest World Cup in tournament history.
