Türkiye's senior national football team announced its final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup through a post shared on the official Turkish National Teams X account, cutting nine players from the provisional list as the tournament group took its final shape.
The final roster includes 26 players, with the squad built around goalkeepers Altay Bayindir, Mert Gunok and Ugurcan Cakir, while key outfield names such as Hakan Calhanoglu, Arda Guler, Kenan Yildiz and Kerem Akturkoglu are also included.
The announcement, shared by the official National Team's account on X, confirmed the players who will represent Türkiye at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the global football tournament organized by FIFA and held every four years.
In defense, Türkiye will rely on names including Ferdi Kadioglu, Merih Demiral, Mert Muldur, Abdulkerim Bardakci, Caglar Soyuncu, Eren Elmali, Ozan Kabak, Samet Akaydin and Zeki Celik.
The midfield group features Hakan Calhanoglu, Ismail Yuksek, Kaan Ayhan, Orkun Kokcu and Salih Ozcan, while Arda Guler, Baris Alper Yilmaz, Can Uzun, Deniz Gul, Irfan Can Kahveci, Kenan Yildiz, Kerem Akturkoglu, Oguz Aydin and Yunus Akgun are included among the attacking and creative options.
The announcement also confirmed the names removed from the provisional squad.
Goalkeepers Ersin Destanoglu and Muhammed Sengezer were left out, along with Ahmetcan Kaplan, Mustafa Eskihellac, Yusuf Akcicek, Atakan Karazor, Demir Ege, Aral Simsir and Yusuf Sari.
With these cuts, Türkiye's final World Cup squad has now been narrowed down to the official group that will carry the national team into the tournament.
