Türkiye has been highlighted as the leading team in FIBA’s latest assessment of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers, with the governing body praising the squad’s continuity and roster stability following EuroBasket 2025.
In its statement, FIBA emphasized that the composition of national team rosters left little doubt about Türkiye’s strong position.
The organization noted that “Türkiye should remain at the top of the list,” pointing to the fact that 11 of the 12 players from the EuroBasket 2025 finalist squad have returned, including NBA star Alperen Sengun.
