Türkiye Women's National Volleyball Team to face Germany in quarterfinals

Türkiye will face Germany tomorrow in the quarterfinals of the CEV, Confederation Europeenne de Volleyball, Trendyol 2026 Women's European Championship.

The match will be played at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul, starting at 7 p.m. local time.

The match will be officiated by Vanya Parvanova of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and Bartlomiej Adamczyk of the Polish Volleyball Federation. It will be broadcast live on TRT 1.

Road to quarterfinals

Türkiye's national women's volleyball team booked its place in the quarterfinals of the European Championship on Sept. 1, sweeping Azerbaijan 3-0 in the round of 16 at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul.

The result capped a strong run through the group stage, where Türkiye finished second in Group A with a 4-1 record, its only defeat coming in a five-set loss to Poland.

Captain Eda Erdem Dundar, marking her return to the national team after a year-long absence, and opposite Melissa Vargas, who was dominant on serve and block, led the way against Azerbaijan.

Türkiye now faces Germany, who beat Belgium 3-2, in the quarterfinals on Thursday, September 3, at the same venue.

Germany, which also played in Group A and finished fourth in the group stage, reached the quarterfinals by defeating Belgium in the round of 16.

The winner of the Germany-Türkiye match will face the winner of the Serbia-Greece semifinal matchup.
