Türkiye’s Under-20 Women’s National Wrestling Team has come out on top at the Imre Baracsi Memorial International Tournament in Budapest, securing the team title with a strong overall medal haul.
According to a statement released by the Turkish Wrestling Federation, the tournament took place in Hungary’s capital, where Türkiye’s young athletes delivered a standout performance across multiple weight categories.
By picking up four gold medals, along with one silver and one bronze, the team moved ahead of the competition to finish first overall.
The team’s top finishes were led by Nil Aktas in the 50 kg category and Remziye Karadag in the 53 kg division. Further gold medals came from Elif Sevval Kurt in the 68 kg class and Sude Naz Camoglu in the 76 kg category, reinforcing Türkiye’s dominance across both lighter and heavier divisions.
Their performances played a central role in building the team’s points tally, which ultimately placed them at the top of the standings.
Alongside the gold medals, Eylem Engin secured a silver medal in the 72 kg category, while Ozdenur Ozmez added a bronze in the 62 kg division. These results helped round out a balanced team performance, contributing to the overall championship outcome.
