Utah Jazz edged out the Philadelphia 76ers 93–89 in the opening game of the NBA Salt Lake City Summer League, kicking off their campaign with a win.
Despite the loss, Türkiye’s Adem Bona delivered a strong individual performance for Philadelphia. The 21-year-old center played 27 minutes, recording 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 block, showing promise in his Summer League debut.
Philadelphia’s top performer was No. 3 overall draft pick VJ Edgecombe, who impressed with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists, establishing himself as one of the standout players of the night.
Utah’s No. 5 pick Ace Bailey struggled with efficiency, shooting just 3-for-13 from the field to finish with 8 points. However, Jazz’s overall team effort proved enough to secure the victory.
The main NBA Summer League action will tip off in Las Vegas on July 10, where all 30 teams are set to compete in the highly anticipated showcase of rookies and young talent.
