The ongoing public feud between Argentine media personality Wanda Nara and Galatasaray's star footballer Mauro Icardi has reached new levels of legal and personal conflict.
With court cases unfolding in Argentina and Italy, accusations of nonconsensual intimate image sharing, custody disputes, and infidelity allegations are now at the center of a highly publicized breakup that has drawn in actress China Suarez and multiple influencers.
Both parties seem to be fighting over their reputations, children, and millions in support payments, all while trying to control the media narrative.
Nara and Icardi are engaged in a legal dispute over the custody of their daughters, Francesca and Isabella.
While Icardi wants the children to join him in Türkiye, Nara insists they remain in Buenos Aires, where she is currently based. The children are under the care of Nara’s sister Zaira and their grandfather Andres.
During a European music tour with singer L-Gante, Nara shared a video message from her daughter Francesca that read, “Life can sometimes be complicated, but at least I have the best mom in the world.”
She blurred her daughter’s face due to legal restrictions and responded publicly, “I love you very much.”
The dispute stems from conflicting claims over where the children should live. Nara argues that Buenos Aires is their primary residence, while a judge determined that their legal residence is Türkiye, affecting how custody and support claims are handled.
Nara recently posted and deleted a message on X, formerly Twitter, accusing Icardi of delaying the divorce by failing to submit necessary legal documents.
She claimed, “There’s no divorce this year. The one who filed it is delaying on purpose.” She also stated that the Italian court had declared itself incompetent in the case.
However, Argentine journalist Angie Balbiani clarified that the Italian court only recused itself from ruling on financial matters, not the divorce itself, which remains under Italian jurisdiction. The case had been filed there following the couple’s separation in the wake of Icardi’s affair with Suarez.
Nara’s financial demands have added another layer of complexity to the case.
According to journalist Gustavo Mendez, she requested $1.7 million annually from Icardi for herself, separate from child support for their daughters. The judge rejected the request, citing jurisdictional grounds, as the children’s legal residence is in Türkiye.
This ruling significantly weakens Nara’s position in Argentine courts and shifts the financial dispute to European legal systems, further complicating the divorce.
The scandal intensified when an explicit video of Icardi surfaced online.
The footage was allegedly filmed in 2021 and sent by Icardi to Nara during their marriage. Uruguayan model Natasha Rey shared the video on social media, triggering widespread backlash.
Icardi has filed legal complaints against both Rey and Nara in Argentina and Italy, accusing them of nonconsensual intimate image sharing and extortion through private images.
In an Instagram post, he warned, “Don’t play games with me, or I’ll burn everything down.” He claimed he has evidence but chose not to post it due to platform restrictions.
The charges carry serious penalties: up to 10 years in prison in Argentina and up to six years in Italy, especially when there is a prior romantic relationship between the parties involved.
Eugenia “China” Suárez, Icardi’s current fiancee, confirmed the authenticity of the video and its legal status.
Speaking at Ezeiza Airport before traveling to Türkiye with her children, she said, “It’s an intimate video, it’s private and punishable by law. It’s a crime.”
Suarez stated that the video was sent by Icardi to his ex-wife in 2021 and that legal action was underway in both Argentina and Italy. She did not name Nara directly but made clear accusations regarding the video’s unauthorized distribution.
Graciela Alfano later claimed that Suarez told her directly that Nara had leaked the footage to Rey. In response, Nara announced she would sue Alfano for defamation.
In a message to journalist Angel de Brito, Nara denied leaking the video, saying, “She doesn’t even know what to accuse me of anymore. Let her prove it. I didn’t send anything.”
Days after the video went viral, trans influencer and adult content creator Jazmin La Cuerpo posted alleged private messages from Icardi.
In the screenshots, Icardi appears to ask, “How much do you charge?” and requests access to her videos while insisting on secrecy.
La Cuerpo tagged Suarez in the post and teased more content to come. Icardi has not publicly addressed this claim, but it follows similar allegations by Rey, which he denied. “Stop inventing, stop lying,” Icardi wrote earlier this month. “I have proof.”
Icardi’s brother posted a statement on Instagram defending the family against what he described as public exploitation.
“Behind all the crap people say for 15 minutes of fame, there’s a family—children, parents,” he wrote. He condemned those profiting from the scandal and expressed exhaustion over the media's portrayal of their private life.
“This isn’t just about Mauro,” he said. “The whole family is affected. I’m tired. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”
Despite the legal battles, Nara has remained active on social media.
She recently gave a tour of her Milan apartment for an MTV Italia special, showing off the luxury home she redesigned by merging four apartments. The property includes a rooftop terrace, pool, outdoor grill, and a pink Lamborghini.
“This isn’t just a house. It’s Wanda Nara’s house,” she said in the promotional video. Social media reactions ranged from praise for her business savvy to criticism for her public visibility amid legal disputes.
The legal fight between Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi continues to escalate. Custody, divorce, lawsuits, and media accusations have turned a personal split into an international legal spectacle.
Each party maintains innocence and blames the other, while their daughters remain caught in the middle of a cross-continental dispute.
With new lawsuits filed in both Argentina and Italy, and fresh scandals emerging by the week, the case is likely far from over.
