Türkiye’s Zeynep Sonmez has been drawn against Daria Kasatkina in the opening round of the Roland Garros.
According to the Turkish Tennis Federation, Sonmez will face world No. 62 Daria Kasatkina in the first round of the main draw, which begins on Sunday.
Sonmez, who recently climbed to a career-high ranking of No. 59, has become the highest-ranked Turkish female tennis player in history.
Her breakthrough performance came earlier this year at the Australian Open, where she reached the third round and drew international attention.
