Economic confidence index in Türkiye rises to 95 in September

Türkiye’s economic confidence index increased by 2% in September 2024, reaching 95, up from 93.1 in August, according to official data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

The rise was driven by improvements across various sectors, including consumer confidence and manufacturing industry sentiment.

Consumer and sector confidence show gains

The index rose by 2.4% in September, reaching 78.2. The real sector confidence index, which reflects the sentiment in the manufacturing industry, increased by 1.2% to 99.2. Additionally, the services confidence index saw a 0.6% rise, climbing to 112.6.

Retail trade confidence also improved, with a 2.5% increase, bringing the index to 110.6.

Construction sector sees slight decline

Despite the overall positive trend, the construction confidence index decreased by 0.2%, landing at 87.8.
