Erdogan reiterates commitment to terror-free Türkiye following attack on TAI

In a speech at Saha Expo 2024, Istanbul, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the recent terrorist attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

"Our struggle against the wicked will continue," he said, confirming that the terrorists responsible for the attack, which resulted in the deaths of five TAI employees, had been eliminated by security forces.

Erdogan emphasized that national defense initiatives will persist, asserting that the state is doing everything possible to ensure a terror-free Türkiye. He highlighted that Türkiye follows a multi-layered policy in its fight against terrorism, reinforcing the government's commitment to safeguarding its citizens.

Turkish defense industry exports to 178 countries, over 80% local production

President Erdogan stated that the Turkish defense industry significantly contributes to the security of friendly and allied countries by exporting to 178 different nations in 2024.

He highlighted that the ratio of domestic products in Türkiye's defense industry has surpassed 80% compared to foreign imports. Erdogan's remarks underscore Türkiye's commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities while supporting global security efforts.
