Prominent journalist Alci alleges violence by ex-husband Kutahyali

Journalist Nagehan Alci has alleged on social media that her ex-husband, the father of her two children and fellow journalist Rasim Ozan Kutahyali, subjected her to violence.

Alci claimed that she endured physical, psychological and economic abuse throughout their marriage and continued to suffer after their divorce.

Alci, who married Kutahyali in 2010 and divorced him amicably in a single court session last year, stated, “For a very long time, I lived in a cycle of psychological, physical, and economic violence of unimaginable proportions.”

She further added:

I could not escape daily insults, slander, and threats. But I will no longer remain silent. I am initiating the necessary legal processes. I have full confidence in the law and justice.
