President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump, the Republican candidate who won the U.S. presidential election for the second time.
In a statement shared on his official X account, Erdogan said, "I congratulate my friend, Donald Trump, on being re-elected as President of the United States after a hard-fought election."

President Erdogan expressed his hope for stronger Türkiye-U.S. relations in the upcoming period. He also voiced his belief that efforts will intensify to resolve global and regional crises, including the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Erdogan concluded by wishing that the election results would bring positive outcomes for both the Americans and all of humanity.
